Jewellery - Accessories

Ma Demoiselle Pierre, Paul & Jacques

When Stéphanie Allerme opened this boutique in November 2012, she didn’t want to sell her designs from behind a counter, but rather to display them as if in her sitting room at home, complete with sofa and coffee table.

Elegantly laid out ‘high fashion’ jewellery in bright colours are everywhere, in a style that’s both feminine and rock’n’roll.

With an open mind and a commitment to always look for novelty, Ma Demoiselle also organises a monthly event, offering late-night openings, manicures and exclusive sales.

La Boutique de Louise

A very girly accessories boutique, named for one of the owner's grandmothers. If cushions with prints of macaroons and cupcakes (€25-€42) are your thing, then you'll be in heaven. In a space that manages to be simultaneously modern and retro, designer jewellery (Anne Thomas, Poupée Rousse, Félicie Aussi) sits alongside trendy accessories (Lili Cabas bags, Mellow Yellow) and fun home items (elephant piggy banks, a reissue of the Swedish brand Norsu, €10).

Sophie Sacs

Rammed with outlets, the Rue de Rennes was once the stomping ground of grumpy shoppers with blistered feet who had to elbow their way past the shopping-bag-bearing hordes. But this busy artery has since benefited from a pavement widening project which has almost doubled the pedestrian space. But even if it is now less crowded out on the street, it's impossible to say the same thing of the inside of Sophie Sacs during the sales.

Le Sept Cinq

The brainchild of two business school students, Le Sept Cinq concept store is a showcase for the work of young Parisian designers whose materials and workshops are all locally based. Here you’ll find Season Paper notebooks, rings by Mademoiselle S,  Ines de la Fressange candles, Bobbies boots and My Suelly bags. Men aren’t left out either, with things like Newstalk t-shirts and Toucan Bleu bow ties on offer. The chic yet homely space is a lovely setting for all these original design ideas – and the best thing, of course, is that this is more than just a shop. There’s a cosy café area for tea and cakes, and the owners Audrey and Lorna keep up a lively cycle of exhibitions, book signings and interactive sessions with designers.

Les Oiseaux

Tucked away in busy Oberkampf, retro, chic and fun Les Oiseaux is full of jewellery and accessories that are a wonderful mix of material and technique – stained wooden necklaces adorned with macramé, enamelled porcelain brooches, a military jacket brightened up with embroidery, a dress made from a patchwork of handkerchiefs. Each piece tells a story, enlivened by unusual, often fluorescent colours. The designs are mostly original, but you'll also find Vanina Escoublet dresses, Annabel Winship shoes and more. Be prepared to splash out.

Les Parisettes

Les Parisettes is a darling store where you can stock up on souvenirs for friends and family located not far from the Eiffel Tower in the 15th arrondissement. What we love about this particular stop is that they don't allow any tacky factory produced souvenirs inside the shop. What you'll find is unique, unusual and adorable.
