For Kids

Libellule et coccinelle

A convivial space which, as well as books, offers workshops that are as fun for children as they are helpful for adults. 'We really wanted to create a meeting place. Books support a kind of exchange' explains Sylvie, one of the two mums behind the concept. The 75 square meter space hosts musical events, English language courses, birthday afternoon tea parties, chess games and more.

Loulou Addict

Retro motifs, English flourishes, Japanese ornaments and bright colours abound in this boutique, which specialises in home décor and accessories for children (especially girls) and their mothers. This is the place to invest in a mini 2CV in lacquered wood by Vilac (€12.50), a crocheted doll by Anne-Claire Petit (€30-€55) or an irresistible American style lunchbox (from €13.50). For madame, perhaps a '70s maroon purse with large orange flowers by Blafre (€20) or an arty cushion by La Cerise (€55). Quality and charm are the order of the day in this shop, and during the holiday season, Loulou Addict is also an ideal spot for amateur interior designers to add a touch of Scandinavian chic (not the Ikea variety) to their Christmas decorations by way of a stuffed gremlin or wooden duck.

Milk on the Rocks

An American brand, Milk on the Rocks children’s clothing boutique for kids from 0-14 years old opened its Paris branch in 2005. The seven stylists (and mothers) behind the brand put plenty of pep and colour into the boutique’s wardrobes, giving the garments interesting textures with crochet and other materials. The modern designs were originally created mostly for boys who, a bit like their older counterparts, generally have less of a choice than girls in clothing. But over time, the brand has started to cater to little girls as well.
