Architecture & Heritage Museum

Situated at the Palais de Chaillot, opposite the Eiffel Tower, the Cité de l’Architecture & du Patrimoine presents nearly 1,000 years of ornementations and architectural creations. 

An 8,000 m² path invites visitors on a real journey among the treasures of French architecture and heritage, from the Middle Ages to the present day.

The museum also houses the Portail Royal of Chartres Cathedral, the painted dome of the life-size models, videos, drawings, etc. Guided tours, video guides, adapted itineraries for children help to fully appreciate prestigious masterpieces. The Cité also has a bookshop-shop and a cafe with a terrace and wonderful views of Paris.

The Panthéon

A masterpiece created by Soufflot (1713-1780) and a former church, during the French Revolution the Panthéon became the burial place for famous French figures. 72 famous greats rest here, including Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Jean Jaurès, Jean Moulin, and since 1996, André Malraux.
